Getting the Firewise Message Out -- Sometimes It Takes a Spoonful of Sugar
Faith Berry, NFPA

Wildfire is a natural part of many ecosystems throughout the United States. If homeowners are adequately prepared, by embracing Firewise principles, a wildfire need not be a disaster. This presentation will explore ways to share this message with residents--making it palatable and understand--so that they take responsibility for making changes to their homes and the surrounding areas and work together to develop Firewise neighborhoods, making their communities more resilient or Fire Adapted.
