Small containers of hazardous materials are routinely encountered in the workplace. From laboratories to janitorial supplies, and maintenance materials to production samples, these little containers can accumulate and amount to a big hazard if not stored and managed properly. This session will explore the requirements and limitations placed on the storage and handling of hazardous materials in 20 liter and smaller quantities from the unique perspectives of NFPA, OSHA, and ICC codes and standards. General approaches to managing compliance with these requirements will be reviewed.
