NFPA 58, Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code: Looking Ahead to 2017
Eric Nette, NFPA

This session will provide information on the likely changes in the new edition of NFPA 58, LP-Gas Code. The LP-Gas Code is widely accepted throughout all 50 states and used internationally to govern the installation/construction of LP-Gas systems. It covers everything from small 20 lb. blue rhino retail cylinders to large 1,000 gallon water capacity ASME storage containers. The new edition is expected to include new provisions/guidance on snow loads, a new chapter on over the road LP-Gas vehicles, and guidance on skid tanks. There are also updates to the requirements of fire extinguishers and the inclusion of hot air balloon tanks.
