This session will provide guidance on evaluating the effectiveness of your electrical safety program and lowering associated risks. Conducting regular and documented field audits provide tools to identify deficiencies, enhance training programs, change safety culture and provide reporting capabilities to document continuous improvement. People-focused communications skills will also be addressed and checklists will be provided.

Lee Marchessault, Workplace Safety Solutions, Inc. Lee Marchessault, CUSA, CUSP, began work in the electric industry in 1978. After working for 20 years in the field as a Power Plant Operator, Meter Specialist, and Electrician, he became the Safety Manager for Green Mountain Power Corporation. He has a BS from Johnson State College and continues to maintain his electrician license. He is now a Safety Consultant and the President of Workplace Safety Solutions, Inc., specializing in electrical safety. He is an Adjunct Instructor for Keene State College and the OSHA Training Education Center Region 1 and oversees all electrical safety programs. Lee is an active member and has several certifications with several organizations, including NFPA, NSC, NEPPA, IP, and ASSE. He has written many articles for national safety publications on electrical safety and people-focused issues, and has presented at national conferences in the US since 1998.
