In April 2015, the NFPA Standards Council approved a new Technical Committee on Building Fire & Life Safety Directors, charged with providing minimum planning and operational requirements to safeguard life, health, property, and public welfare. The goal is to regulate and control the development, maintenance, and practice of emergency action plans in buildings with over 500 occupants, as well as specify the qualifications, duties and responsibilities for the individuals charged with the development, maintenance, practice and execution of those plans. This interactive session will provide an overview of the Committee's thoughts and gather input regarding the segmentation of the various topic areas to be addressed.
