The fire alarm system plan review process is often delayed because of poor or incomplete submittals. This session will describe the necessary minimum documentation requirements found in NFPA 72 which, if properly provided during the permit application process, will increase the chances that an applicant's fire alarm plans and specifications will be approved in a single submittal. The presenters will walk through the documentation process, discussing the minimum requirements found in NFPA 72, the importance of each item, and how each of the requirements should be documented. The session will be of value to both those who submit plans and the AHJs who review them for code compliance.
