NFPA 70-2017, National Electrical Code (NEC), Articles 690 and 691: Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems
James Rogers, Town of Oak Bluffs
Bill Brooks, Brooks Engineering

Key members of CMP4 that oversee revisions to Article 690 will provide highlights of the numerous related changes made in the 2017 National Electrical Code. The astronomical growth rate of the solar industry necessitated simplification and clarification of the NEC with respect to these systems. Fire fighter safety concerns continue to be among the most important topics surrounding rooftop solar systems and the NEC.
