Composite Insulated Panels (CIPs) or Insulated Sandwich Panels, The System, Fire Hazard, Loss Mitigation
Didier Schtz, SCOR Re-insurance

Facilities involving large composite insulated, or insulated sandwich, panels constitute a big challenge from a fire prevention / protection standpoint. In recent decades, there have been significant losses associated with fires that involved such panels. As the frequency and severity of losses has been increasing, several countries have been studying ways to mitigate risks to building occupants and fire fighters, and to reduce property losses. This presentation will provide insights into those efforts.
